What To Bring

Layered clothing principle works best in New Zealands changeable climate. Polar fleece garments are preferred but wool or cotton is O.K. Hunting camouflage is a good choice and will assist in the hunt. Matthews Trophy Hunting, your guides, have no weight restriction on the amount of luggage you bring, apart from the normal Airline limit. So pack what you feel comfortable with.

Some Suggestions are: -

• Water proof Rain gear.
• Warm Gloves
• Warm Hat.
• Small Daypack for wet weather gear, camera etc.
• Light pair Hiking boots.
• Soft gun slip for vehicle transport.
• Casual clothing for travel and evenings.
• Waders or Rubber boats (optional). Hip Waders are a good idea if you have them.
• Polar fleece shirt, pants (optional) camo if possible.
• Facemask recommended.
