We had great hunting with Mathews Trophy hunting. The guides, Grant and Bevan were very competent, and went out of their way to obtain the best hunting sites.

We had good evening hunts on 'ponds' that became duck magnets at dusk. The decoys of 'Parries' during the day presented us with challenging birds. Although the highlight of the weeks hunting was the Canadian Geese hunting which proved to be a game of patience, waiting for the geese to decoy resulting in a left and right on my first shots on Canada Geese , followed by numerous misses making Canada Geese in NZ one of the most challenging game birds to hunt.
